Belated Solo Tour Wrap-Up

Well, it was a very solid run out to Alberta last month. Finished ‘er off strong with a great 3-pack of shows in Calgary + 1 beauty down in Vulcan, AB. A sincere thank you to everyone who had a hand in the Tour. Promoters, hosts, venues, the merch buyers and the thirsty enthusiasts who came out every night. It’s not a large scale operation and I’m always humbled by the kindness and hospitality of friends and strangers I’m lucky to meet on the road.

I was right back to it when I returned home for a show with the LC3. Scaling Lost Country down to a Trio has been nothing short of a pleasant surprise and has given myself, Grant and, Joanna fresh enthusiasm and new inspiration. Here’s to hoping we can do it more down the line.

I’ve already found myself back out in Alberta for the better part of a week for some pre-production with Corb Lund & The Hurtin’ Albertans. It’s great to get back to it with CL and the fellas. I’ll be gigging around lightly for the next couple of months until Corb’s touring kicks back into gear in mid-June.

Next up for the LC3 is Sunday, April 30 at the Royal George in Transcona. 3 sets of mid century American Roots music & Neo-traditional Honky-Tonk between 4-8pm. Hope to see you there.
